Control and freedom seem to be paradoxical terms. The more something is controlled the more it loses its freedom. But it is very interesting that the more sense of control we have the more free we feel. Think about it!
No, I am not suggesting about control over everything around you. It’s the control over yourself, which truly liberates you. The control, which enables you to say yes to the things you really want to say ‘yes’ and no to the things you want say ‘no’. It’s your ability to make or break with your habits. It’s your ability to say something to someone and not just think about saying it. It’s your ability to make “YOUR BODY” listen to you. It’s your ability to wake up at the time you decided to wake up. It’s your ability to say ‘sorry’ or ‘very good’ to someone when you truly want to. It’s your ability to eat or not eat what you decided about just a night ago. It’s your ability to implement things which no one else but you planed about.
Mere thinking about such control over ourselves makes us feel pleasant. It shows that most of us are imprisoned by ourselves. No one else is more responsible than us about our present condition. And no one else is more capable than us to free ourselves from this self created prison.
So tell yourself...
“’The first person, I will always obey, is me.”
“The one person, I will never lie to, is me.”
“The first person, I will respect, is me.”
“The first person, I will always believe in, is me.”
“The first person, I am answerable to, is me.”
